MYSTERY OF THE ORMOND STONES

All RTYC Sailors are aware of the Castle Rock hazard off Broughty Castle and immediately East

of the Harbour entrance, and normally give it a wide berth.  However in passing the Castle Rock

on say the last of the Ebb Tide there are many stories of boats hitting a second unseen hazard to

the West of the Harbour entrance in their effort to keep out of the tide.  Older RTYC Members are

heard to refer to these as the Ormond Stones but just exactly where is this unseen hazard?........

CADET WEEK and YOUTH REGATTA

Before putting pen to paper to report on the above events I have one thing I want to do!

That is, I am removing my 'RTYC125Publicity Hat' and putting on my 'Grandad Hat'.  Why you ask?  This is because my Grandson Finlay (age 10) only took up sailing this year by joining the RTYC Cadet section and ..........
