RTYC CADETS LAUNCH FOR 2010 SEASON

On Wednesday 28th April a large bunch of RTYC Cadets and helpers keenly

started the new season.  The night was dry with a good, but cool Westerly,

which helped boats to cope with the strong Ebb Tide giving good sailing.

All Cadets got afloat even those who were out for their first ever sail. There was

one capsize which managed to self correct without assistance from the safety

boats and apart from a few cold soles a great time was had by all the Cadets.

In his training capacity with Cadets, understandably Sandy Bremner puts high

emphasis on safety but even he can occasionally slip up as can be seen in

the photographs taken on the night which can be viewed in the Photo Gallery

section of this Web Site!
